My thesis research project "Transfiguring Horizons" explores the different edges between the relationship between the human and the natural through different figurative relationships between rock and sand textures. Contrasting with powerful images of the urban landscape and how it merges, transforming the geography in different ways, changing the morphology of the territory. Finally, the composition and interspersing of images seeks to guide the viewer to the conclusion that our relationship with the territory currently will only lead us to decadence, this is due to the little or no search for harmony with the territory, thus leading to the loss of heritage and life itself in the ruins that finally complete the composition.
This research project was carried out within the delimited framework between the Mantagua wetland and the cliffs of Playa Ancha, considering the territories of the dune fields, Concon, Viña del Mar, Valparaiso and Playa Ancha.
*This project was presented collectively as a thesis project together with my generation in the year 2024. This project was collectively exhibited as a thesis project together with my generation in 2024 and later the image Echoes of Baron was selected at the Valparaíso International Arts Biennial*
